The thing is, since there is no difference in the skill list between long
range and short range shooting, they also become entry man extraordinaire
with an M4. Which is an altogether different kettle of fish.
It all comes down to how the GM wants to run the game. The two guys that I
usually run things for (you know who you are!) usually take the same sort of
characters each time. One likes to do the sniper kind of thing and the other
the snooper. It would be interesting to see what they would end up with if
the choice came down to being good up close or far away.
