This sounds like Rhodesia.

The guy who taught me to shoot when I was a wee lad in
Botswana was an ex Selous Scout Officer (Rhodesia Spec
For Infiltrators) who left the country and he always
stressed single rapid shots over full auto with FN and
AK alike, even at close range against charging game!
