There was a good article about the situation in Somalia in an issue of 
Jane's Defense Weekly of last month or so, which mentioned that one of the 
reasons for terrorist group activity in some regions of Somalia is because 
local businessmen try to get some stability in their area, and sponsor 
terrorist groups in order to get it -- never mind the ideology that comes 
with it, at least this way they can do business again.
