This game was initially inspired by the NTV/BBC TV show, broadcast in the UK and Japan many years ago. Since then I have done a fair amount of research on the subject, and the game has gone beyond its origins.
The game is not a 'realistic' game in the tedious sense used in the role-playing fraternity. It is, however, an attempt to faithfully recreate the fantastic China of the source material, and such movies as A Chinese Ghost Story.
More details about the game will be added to this Web Site over time. For the moment, however I will just mention that design notes for the game regularly appear in imazine magazine.
I'd like to distribute copies of the game to anyone who is interested. I plan eventually to publish the game on CD-R in Adobe Acrobat format and perhaps as a book. The CD-R will include all kinds of bits and pieces, including art, fiction, and probably some other freeware/shareware games as well. Unfortunately,the game is far from finished, and seems to have stalled. Also available are a set of PDF files containing game write-ups of the Necklace of Skulls adventure that appeared in imazine 31. I make no literary claims for these, and they contain several highly inauthentic details, but here they are, anyway.
