Interestingly, I've seen the results of an oil tanker
that went up after a crash. The thing was loaded at
the time and shook windows 5km away. The aftermath
showed that the blast had blown both ends of the
tanker off and the ground for 50m-ish around was very
burned. The cylindrical part of the tank was perfectly
intact though.
