I agree; it really points up the value of (a) training in tactical
situations and (b) training as a unit. I went out with some people from
(last-job-but-one), and we ended up doing pretty well by virtue of
being able to form an instant five-man tactical team.

I'm currently reading _No Heroes_, as recommended here by Robert Hansen,
and I think Danny Coulson points this up as well - even if you have
experts, you suddenly have to take cover and the guy next to you
accidentally splits your face open with his rifle butt...

I enjoy first-person shooters, but this is something that a lot of them
miss - just how much attention it takes to move in a cluttered
environment, which then distracts you from identifying friends and foes...
