The books (and other sources) that I'm pulling from
used these exact figures.  Because the lb/oz system is
very inaccurate, conversion to metrics would only be
an estimate.

There are a ton (a metric ton if you like) of java
script standard/metric conversion tools on the
Internet you can use.  

I believe that most of these weapons are already in
Rob T's weapons listing along with all the ME stats. 
The only gun that I know is not on the list is the
Stoner 96, but it is an updated modificiation of the
Stoner 86.

I simply wanted to pull together some comparable
weights for machineguns, since the main purpose was to
justify the use and preferred caliber for carrying a
MG in the game.  I also wanted to get very solid
states of the weapons that the weights were taken. 
Many MG weights are empty, no bipod, no buttstock, and
no fore handguard.  I wanted to measure the
differences of all the guns, in carrying state, minus
ammo.
