Sounds like twin 20oz CO2 bottles on a remote hose.
Usually a single battlepack mounted 20oz is fine for
about 600-800 rounds but you could tandem mount 2
bottles. I usually carry one bottle in the rig and
when I know that it's getting low, I sling in a 12oz
which I can change to in required. Remote gas feeds do
however offer a lot of room for gas temperature change
and expansion, and are thus seldom used on the
pro-field, where guns are firing at 299 fps and
exceedling 300 results in penalties... consistancy is
improtant.
In a regular game remote hoses are a comfortable way
to carry a marker and make aquisition that little bit
easier. The only problem is when:

a) You have to change gas by disconnecting hoses at
the base of your spine while pinned behind a 6" log by
2 maniacs

b) You dive into a slide to reach cover and drive a
20oz bottle into your spine

c) The gun seal breaks, spraying freezing CO2 all over
your hand until you turn it off on your back

d) The bottle seal ruptures, spraying CO2 up the
inside of your smock and down the inside of your
trousers, while you roll around on the ground trying
to get your hand to the release straps without getting
further frostbite, while pinned behind a barrier under
heavy fire in the middle of a speedball field, while
observers and team-members alike point and laugh.

The sound of victory! If you're firing less that
5-a-second, you aint't pulling the trigger fast
enough!
