Depends a lot on how mobbed-up the cop is.  Cops who are in the back 
pocket of the Organisatya can afford modern Western hardware.  Cops who 
aren't generally get stuck with whatever the PD has handy--typically 
Makarovs or PSMs (9mm Mak and 5.45 PSM, respectively).

Of course, this is all as memory serves.  Take it with a grain of salt.
