For a theoretical concept, the big problem is chamber pressure.  The 
WSG2000/9x90mm was designed around 58,000psi, the .408 Cheytac is in excess 
of 70,000psi.  That is a big problem to contend with especially in a semiauto 
like the WSG2000.  You also have to question the need for the complexity of a 
semiauto mechanism when the bolt action is simpler and stronger.  In field 
situations there is not rate of fire advantage to the semi.

The FCS and mechanical recoil control systems of the WSG2000 have already 
influenced other designs such as the OICW.  When the .408 development is 
complete, I would not be surprised to see Barrett do a semi, somewhere 
between the size of a M98 and a M82.  Tack an FCS system on top and you may 
have something close to the WSG2000.
