Depending on the casualty count, this could be considered the military 
equivalent of a nuclear strike.  U.S. policy treats all weapons of mass 
destruction exactly the same as a nuclear bomb, and this was... a weapon of 
mass destruction, used in an absolutely unprovoked attack, on a largely 
civilian populace.

I am certainly not saying that the US will respond by dropping a nuke on 
Afghanistan, or anything else similarly ridiculous.

But this absolutely was an act of war, and expect to see the US respond as if 
it were.

Is this the worst terrorist action in modern history?
