How about California?  Being as some wacko just (within the last hour) drove 
an 18-wheeler into the state capitol.

Still in California we have the growing power problems.  Rolling blackouts, 
people wigging out over skyrocketing bills, etc.

Italy, where the US Embassy was close for a couple of days do to terrorist 
threat.

Rapidly increasing incidents of piracy just about everywhere.

Major protests in the Philippines over the impeachment proceedings against 
President Estrada.
