The key limitation here is "correct licenses": you've got to be a citizen,
have no criminal record, possess the correct facilities for weapon storage
(i.e. a floor safe), and be able to show good reason why you should own one.
Good reason is defined as whether or not the police think you should have a
pistol (and by default the answer is usually no). Finally carrying then
concealed is a felony, carrying them not for the purpose you requested them
is a felony, having them in your car glovebox is a felony for the same
reasons, drawing it in a public place is a felony (with very limited
exceptions for those charged with public security, like security guards),
using it on anybody attacking you (even in your home) is likely lead to you
being charged with murder etc etc (unless again you are charged with public
security and safety). And last but not least body armour is illegal, but
then again so is anything but straight ball ammo as well.
