Considering that it'll probably take a hundred years and trillions of dollars in development costs to develop an a cat that'll function in all weathers I suggest going down the Mk 1 Small Aggresive Terrier or Mk 1 Ferret route.

Anyway do you really want a defensive device that catches the bomb, half eats it and then leaves the remains somewhere inconvenient for you to step on in the morning?
