BE & Competition
It seems to me that with the success that BlackEagle/BlackEagle
Investigations is experiencing that there should be other companies involved
in para-military investigations and operations. The main rulebook says BE/BE
is unique in size and scope, but this could easily be contested within the
advancement of the Millennium's End timeline.
The only other companies listed in the rulebooks are Marion Contractual
Services Coproration, a mercenary organization; Parallax Personal Services, a
shadowy organization of suicide killers; and Securitech Corp., a fairly
conventional bodyguard firm. There should be others.
Anybody doen anything along these lines either as competition for BlackEagle
or as an alternative to a conventional campaign?
Here are some ideas I am looking at and may develop as source material:
Established "real world" investigations and security companies that are
experimenting with para-military operations.
Companies taking advantage of the experienced military veterans. Russia,
Israel and South Africa already have an established history in this area.
Compaines that specialize in military training with only limited direct
action capability.
Companies that act as clearing houses for mercenraies without becoming
directly involved.
Companies that operate out of legally loose countries and do not have the
restrictions against criminal operations that BE does.
Companies that follow the BE cell model, maybe started by ex-BE employees.
Should BlackEagle consider the creation of a lower cost conventional security
company to handle the types of missions that outside the mission profile of
BlackEagle cells? Say a uniform security company that performs long term
contract site security. Could get someone a discount on BlackEagle
Investigations assignment if they have a long term contract with BlackEagle
Security.
Are there companies that have come into the para-military business only to
crash and burn after a major fiasco?
