BE & the Press

What kind of relations does Black Eagle have with the media?

On the positive, media attention is good for advertising, positive public
relations and recruiting. The negative is exposure of personnel and covert
operations, accusations and inciting public oppinion against BlackEagle.
Certainly a delicate balancing act that would require constant attention from
specialists at corporate levels.

I can see situations where a client might want to publicize the fact that
BlackEagle is training their security forces or acting as special security.
Likewise I can see where BlackEagle might want to improve public opinion in
an area and sets up a display for local media.

On a larger scale it might be possible that BlackEagle does a deal with some
one like On The Inside, 48 Hours or Behind Closed Doors, or the foreign
equivelant. There are plenty of clients that ould go along with it so that
is not a problem. Image the complication to a otherwise routine assignment
when you have to drag around a camera crew.

There could be operations in support of ro against news agencies that could
put BE operatives in the public spotlight. Extracting an arrested or
kidnapped journalist. Misdirecting media assets so they do not get to the
real story.

Think of the complications that can arrise from the media attention.
Recognition is the major concern. It is also possible that a particularly
charismatic operative could pick up an unstable love struck stocker. What if
an anti-violence group decides that BlackEagle is the cause of violence and
not an effect. Next thing operatives no they have protestors outside the
field office that are following them so they can post home addresses and
disrupt operations.

Plenty of juicy ideas here. Anyone ever done anything along these lines?
