the discussion on mag-light versus other flashlights 
might fill books (personally i´m using a AA on the belt 
and a 6d when expecting darkness or trouble), but i#m 
thinking on converting to white LED-lamp from the aa, 
or perhaps a led-light for long endurance/low intensity 
and a surefire/pelilite/whatever  for more temporary 
brighthness)

anyway, a german backpacking store has a useful test of 
all his offered flashlights.
the version printed in the catalogue is nicer, but

this is in german, if your looking under "aktuelles" on 
their homepage you might find access to some english 
information. if not, i think it is still understandable 
(or run it through babel.altavista) even if you wan#t 
get all the details.
