That would work, though I'd use fixed modifiers of
-25, -50 and -75 or similar, although I'm plucking
numbers from thin air there. It's a simple solution
that would work well. Maybe also an 'aquisition time'
for magnification/range as well: [Again, numbers
plucked from the air] x24 3 rounds, x12 2 rounds, x8 1
round.
