My opinion is that you don't wait - uninstalling Communicator 4.6x and
installing NS6 will fix your problem. (You might even try installing it
at the same time - NS6 installs itself separate from communicator, even
when you specifiy the same directory for install)

If you go the uninstall route, be sure to save your settings for
news/mail; in any case you can keep all your current plugins by copying
over your plugin folder from communicator to NS6.
