Revolvers have just as many parts which can go wrong.  They seem to take a
little less practice to become proficient, though.  A wheelgun is still a
perfectly good weapon today, even if the tilt is towards the semi.  My
cousin carried a .357 wheelgun when he was a narcotics cop in the
methamphetamine capital of the world, and he felt well-served by it.
