One very important caliber used during this time, and
was rather trendy, was the .32 ACP.  Be very careful
calculating these DDs, because the loads for this
caliber  before the beginning of WWII were MUCH HOTTER
than they are today.  This caliber was typically used
as an officer's pistol.

The "Baby Luger" is a good example of this.  Exact
replicas have a bad reputation for jamming every other
round.  If you use ammunition that it was designed for
(the much hotter round), these pistols work
flawlessly.
