Weight.  It was acceptably reliable (by comparison to other autoshots),
but it was a real pig, weight-wise.  20-round drums of ammo weren't
lightweight, either, especially given that, at 240RPM, you'd go through
a drum in five seconds flat.

Autoshots are one of those ideas that sounds great on paper, up until
the time you have to actually implement the damn thing.  I'm not aware
of a single autoshot (barring Benellis--semiautos that can be fired
frightfully fast) that is really of any real use in combat.  The USAS-12
has critical reliability problems; the Atchisson is way too heavy; the
HK-CAW was designed to fit a need that didn't even exist.
