RE: World Trade Center & DC?

Just as an update...

A rental car was found in the parking garage at Logan International, Boston.
Inside were:
- A copy of the Koran
- Flight manuals in Arabic
- A video on piloting airliners

It is said that whomsoever the gods wish to destroy, they first
make him mad. In fact, whomsoever the gods wish to destroy, they
first hand the equivalent of a stick with a fizzing fuse and
Acme Dynamite Company written on the side. It's much more
interesting and it doesn't take as long.

I don't really agree with this. These aren't like the Beechcraft or
Pup's that I've flown before. Faced with the mass of buttons, lights,
dials, &c that is the flight deck is probably enough to un-nerve any
amateur pilot. Anybody with a rudimentary knowledge could probably fly
them straight, but anything beyond that needs some competence even with
all the magic of autopilots.
Three out of the four planes hit their targets, and the fact that the
second aircraft to hit the WTC was turning into its target suggests that
its pilot knew how to handle the craft. I've heard rumours that another
group of arabs arrested allegedly en route to another hijacking included
a qualified pilot.

Working on that assumption, and the requirement to qualify in the
757/767 gives a possible lead to the perpetrators. Some country or
countries must be missing commercial pilots, probably from their state
airline... any such nation has to be a prime suspect.
