    Actually not exactly true...

    The Whitehorse plane had a faulty fuel light which told them they had
almost no fuel left.  They asked to land somwhere in Alaska but were denied
by the FAA and escroted by F16 and canadian F18.

    The comm problem was a chinese plane bound for Seattle (I believe) it
too was escorted but to Vancouver.
