Well these sites are what I use:

National Geographic at none other than www.NationalGeographic.com, it's got 
maps, GPS readings, and other cool stuff.

and the insane www.CCN.com

world Atlas's at http://geography.miningco.com/library/maps/blindex.htm

these are including the Newspapers and Magazine sites, and BBS.
