I picked this game(Millennium's End) up in 94-95, I was the only one who
brought it, and I basically fell in love with the system instantly I have
never looked back, but the funny thing is that Everybody who I game with
alway's ask for a game of it, I then show them a overview of the rules, and
they all say it's "overly complitcated" or "Seems slow", and then I take
them thought it again, and I tell them that I'll do the hard work, and geez
the quotes after are "Well it's really streamlined and quick", thats the
basic perception with the 'average' gamers, ok the D&D 3rd is a good system
for D&D, the D20 works well, all I have played of it a muck-a-round games,
ok all the other systems I have played, none really compare's to the
Ideaology behind Millennium's End, it aim towards the role-playing aspect,
and the best thing is even if you miss the location, could hit another with
all this, on the single throw of the dice.

The only other systems I like for Theme's are
- Rift's(If it wasn't for the crap system , unbalanced weapons, and power
hungery players, it would be my favorite 'Technofantasy')
- Mutant Chronicles, mmmmmmm stil the best, Miniature's base RPG(Again
Techno-Fanatasy, not quite Cyperpunk, but still good)
- Cyberpunk, dark future, cool cuture, and just gives you a good buzz when
it get's going, but too many dice roll's, but gives a feeling of hope????
-White wolf, most of there games, well I have all there games, but I like
them for being my first REAL "ROLE PLAYING GAME's", we used to act out at
the local concert hall's, it was fun...........

but none compare to this system, It is very easy to relate to, make up props
and just little things like News Papers makes this game so much fun, my
first character I made him up, and never ever played him, not even as a NPC,
come to think of it I have always GM the game's, I have never(AND I DO MEAN
NEVER) been in a game as a character, I have lent out my books to people and
they just don't seem to get the genre, of 'Technothillers' they love playing
because I love detail, and I put that in my games, but most other games you
don't really have to worry, and it's that detail feature that makes me want
to play it more.

Yeah it a mouth full of blah it's just what I think of the system.

peace all, Matt.
