I think so. AFAIK, forging is beating (or pushing) hot metal into shape, like 
a blacksmith does with horseshoes; the modern way is, of course, to use a 
machine to press it into shape in one go (or a couple of goes, if one would 
break it). I suppose "alloy-forged" means Colt uses some kind of alloy -- 
which is a metal made up of different metals; steel, for example, is an alloy 
of iron, carbon and other materials depending on the intended application -- 
and forges into the shape of the AR-15's receiver.
