I have offered in the past to write crossplatform (UNIX, MacOS X, Windows) 
software to handle ME combat and character generation.  Unfortunately, the 
response from the list has always been very anemic--in the last three times 
I've made this offer, a total of two people have said "yes, please, that'd 
be nice".
