That's even the case with games where a book like this is actually useful
(that is, games not based in reality as much as ME is). For Shadowrun, for
example, the world books always sold worst, not to mention got the most
complaints -- mostly from people actually living in the area covered by the
book. With ME, I'd say it would have to be a damn good world book to
actually have it sell when some tourist guides and road maps can give the
GM as good a picture of the place.

Tourist guides i wouldn't trust too much for most things other than
the most beautiful things to see.....i don;t see much info in italian tourist
books about the gypsy children that grab purses and jewlery and wallets while
their parents watch, because the kids are 100% immune to the law.......
I for one would buy a location source book if it was a good one and
reasonabley priced.  I do not fall into the "buy-everything-because-i-have
to-have-it-all" crowd...though i can see them through the fence=)
Road maps and tourist guides scratch the surface, i want to see the
whole thing
