a frikadel or frikandel or frikadelle is the name for  a

sometimes pork or turkey or a mix) in the netherlands or 
northwestern germany. usually the dutch version is cigar

onions) whereas the german version is round (smaller but 
thicker than a hamburger patty and served with mustard).
in other parts the same round thing is given different 
names, for instance "bulette" in the berlin region.
