Many soldiers (apparently) believe that heavy machine guns, like .50 cal.
ones, are illegal to employ against people; against equipment, though, it's
OK. Thus, they don't fire at the enemy soldier, but at his webbing. That
this will neatly perforate the soldier as well is just a coincidence :)

Not that there is any need for this, because it's perfectly legal to shoot
such large-caliber rounds at enemy troops, but not everyone seems to know
this.
