But I think as Jackson said (OK he's director so he would say something 
like it :)  the technology has come about recently that has allowed such a 
thing to occur.  Perhaps if Tolkien could look into the future then he may 
have thought differently.  That's not for me to say though.  To be 
impressed with the efforts is not necessary to say that he would agree with 
it being done.
