Upon checking the links that you provided, it appears
that the Ames Lab has:

15.5 grams of plutonium and 31 grams of uranium-235

on site at all times.  Is this a signifacant number?
Could you produce a bomb with this amount?  perhaps
the whole ames adventure could just center around
getting this plutonium/uranium back.
