ME Firearms policy, round 2




The more I have read of answers, more I am thinking of keeping the
system I originally envisaged: ie. BE owns weapons and operatives
sign weapons for each job based on on what they ask and what their
boss (GM) allows.

As far as how heavy these weapons would be, I see that they do not
wield full-automatic weaponry for legal reasons (legal department 
gets super pissed off when people start shooting each other in city
with automatic weapons). However, they use them in rural setting
where BE has a training range for interested clients they train.

For most work, BE guys carry no weapons (no need to) but at times
they take stuff like a pistol. For very serious work it could be
shotgun or rifle (like escorting a vehicle carrying jewelry). 

SMGs seem to be de rigeur of genre but I have resisted the urge
to use them. :)

My players are quite satisfied with this as they prefer to think
in game instead of kill people outright (which is IMHO nice).

I have to write better description of this concept for my ME 
homepage when I have more colisondated ideas on both what BE 
does and how BE hires individual operatives. And I am glad to
report that I have now a second player as well.
