oh, by the way:
a cruiser is a standard 4-door sedan, the plain vanilla 
cop car. nowadays usually a ford crown victoria, some 
years ago the other half were chevrolet caprice.
some departments start experimenting with front-driven 
cars.

a interceptor is a 2-door "sports car" (what these 
americans believe to be fast:)) with police markings, 
used for hunting speed violators and posing around.
i´m not sure if they were used before "mad max" hit the 
movie screen.
